MONOKO — PAYMENT PROCESSOR PARTNERS

Last Updated: 2026-05-17 Effective Date: 1 June 2026

This disclosure identifies the third-party payment processors that AEDOWON SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202612161D, "Monoko") uses to authorize, settle, and reconcile payments and payouts for the Monoko Service.

It supplements:

1. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monoko itself is not a regulated payment institution. We engage licensed payment service providers ("PSPs") to handle all payment-card data, banking, and 3-D Secure (3DS) Strong Authentication. Card data and bank credentials are submitted directly to the PSP and never stored on Monoko's servers.

2.4 Card Networks (Indirect)

When You pay by credit or debit card, Your card data and transaction are also processed by:

  • Visa Inc. — visa.com/legal/privacy-policy
  • Mastercard Incorporated — mastercard.com/global/en/vision/corp-responsibility/commitment-to-privacy.html
  • JCB Co., Ltd. (where used in TH/JP) — global.jcb/en/privacy/
  • American Express Company (where used) — americanexpress.com/privacy

Card network processing is governed by the network's own privacy policy and Your card issuer's terms.

3. WHAT THESE PROCESSORS RECEIVE

Each PSP receives only the data necessary to perform its function:

PSP / partnerData received
Polar.sh / MoR checkoutPayment-method token or card data handled by hosted checkout, billing identity, billing address, amount, currency, tax location data, 3DS or equivalent authentication result, transaction descriptor, chargeback status
CurrenxieBeneficiary banking / payout details, payout amount, currency, country, sender (Monoko) identifier, transfer narrative
Wise (if/when activated)Beneficiary banking / mobile-wallet details, payout amount, currency, country, sender (Monoko) identifier
Card NetworksCard number, amount, merchant identifier / MoR identifier, country, transaction timestamp

Monoko itself receives only tokenized references, transaction IDs, invoice/receipt records, payout records, and chargeback status needed to operate the Service — not the underlying card number.

4. 3-D SECURE STRONG AUTHENTICATION

3DS Strong Authentication, SCA, or equivalent strong customer authentication is used where supported or required by the hosted checkout / card issuer per Terms §4.10. This authenticates the User to the card issuer or payment provider (typically via OTP, app-push, or biometric) before the transaction is authorized.

3DS is the first line of chargeback defense. Chargebacks raised after successful 3DS authentication have weak liability-shift posture for the cardholder — see Terms §6.8.

5. CHARGEBACK DISPUTE PROCESS

Per Terms §6.8:

  1. Step 1 — Contact us first. Email billing@monoko.ai with the issue. We respond within 7 days. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us is a material breach.
  2. Resolution offers: In-app credits, plan switch, extension. No cash refund per Terms §6.
  3. If chargeback proceeds: We submit dispute response with usage logs, 3DS auth proof, and Terms-acceptance timestamp within the PSP dispute window (typically 7–14 days).
  4. Account suspension: Immediate, pending resolution.
  5. If chargeback fails (we win): Account restored.
  6. If chargeback succeeds (User wins): Permanent ban of account and associated accounts, recovery of chargeback amount + fees + administrative costs through any lawful means.

6. CURRENCY AND FX

6.1 Default currency. Monoko prices are denominated in USD in the Pricing Schedule. At checkout, the User may see local-currency display (THB, SGD).

6.2 Currency conversion. Where the card issuer or PSP converts, the rate is determined by the card issuer or PSP and may include a markup. Monoko does not control the conversion rate.

6.3 THB Payout FX Lock (Affiliate / KOS). For payouts denominated in THB to Thailand residents, the USD→THB rate is locked at the Bank of Thailand mid-rate published on the last business day of the calendar month preceding the payout (per Monoko-Pricing-Schedule §7.2).

6.4 Payout statement disclosure. Each payout statement discloses: original USD Commission amount, payout currency, rate used, conversion date, converted THB amount, withholding amount (if any), payout method, and released-vs-held accrual balance.

7. TAX WITHHOLDING

7.1 Singapore Affiliates / KOS. Monoko may withhold income tax on payouts per Singapore IRAS guidance.

7.2 Thailand Affiliates / KOS. Monoko may withhold Thai withholding tax (typically 3% on service income) per Thai Revenue Code; annual withholding certificate (Phor Ngor Dor 50 / 50 ทวิ) issued.

7.3 Non-SG/TH-resident Affiliates / KOS. Must complete IRS Form W-9 or W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E and applicable CRS / FATCA self-certification before payout. See Monoko-Affiliate-Terms §2.5(a) and Monoko-KOS-Terms §2.4(c).

8. PCI DSS COMPLIANCE

Monoko's payment data handling is structured to minimize PCI DSS scope:

  • Card data never reaches Monoko servers. All card-data capture happens on Polar's hosted checkout or the card processor infrastructure used by Polar.
  • Tokenization. Monoko stores only provider-issued payment-method tokens, transaction IDs, invoice IDs, and reconciliation references (non-PCI-scope identifiers).
  • Provider PCI controls. Polar and its payment infrastructure partners are responsible for PCI DSS controls for hosted checkout and card-data handling. Wise or banking partners are used only for payout rails where applicable and do not require Monoko to store card numbers.

Monoko itself operates at SAQ A (lowest PCI DSS scope) where applicable, because card data is fully outsourced to the PSP via redirect / iframe / token APIs.

9. STRONG CUSTOMER AUTHENTICATION (SCA) AND PSD2

For payments processed through European cards or European-licensed PSPs, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) per EU PSD2 is performed by the PSP. Monoko does not bypass SCA.

10. CHANGES TO PAYMENT PROCESSORS

Per Sub-Processor List change policy: at least 30 days' prior notice before engaging any new material payment processor or replacing one in a different jurisdiction. Notice via email + this page update + in-app banner. Right of objection per Terms §12.7.
